Suspended solids meter measures slurries too thick for optical methods

SUSPENDED SOLIDS METER MEASURES SLURRIES TOO THICK FOR OPTICAL METHODS

Pumps frequently need to be turned on or off based on the concentration of the slurry they are pumping. The Markland Model 502 Suspended Solids Meter can be used to measure this slurry and then control the pumps. Markland offers free testing of materials. Using ultrasound, the meter can be used in open top tanks or in pipelines. It measures slurries too thick for optical methods. An animation of the Model 502 in use can be found at www.sludgecontrols.com.
