EXCLUSIVE, PLANETARY, TRENCHER DRIVE SYSTEM
The RT660 and RT960 feature a rugged, 4-wheel drive, heavy-duty, multifunction tool carrier chassis with unitized construction for outstanding strength and resistance to heavy shocks, jolts and twisting loads. A 10-degree, oscillating front axle provides surefooted mobility on uneven ground.
Hydrostatic ground drives and hydraulic 4-wheel steering make for easy maneuvering on rough terrain and slopes. Limited slip differentials on the RT660 and locking differentials on the RT960 turbo provide all the ground gripping traction required for plowing or trenching in tough, unyielding ground.
Both the RT660 and RT960 feature the exclusive, patented planetary trencher drive system. Astec trenchers are available with a standard sprocket or heavy-duty rock boom.
