The WA450-6 from Komatsu Canada has a net horsepower of 272 hp (203 kW), an operating weight between 48,920 and 49,430 pounds (22,190 kg and 22,421 kg) and a dumping clearance of 10 feet, 3 inches (3,124 mm) when equipped with a 5.5 cubic yard general purpose bucket. The WA480-6 has a net horsepower of 299 hp (223 kW), an operating weight of between 54,200 and 54,830 pounds (24,585 kg and 24,870 kg) and a dumping clearance of 10 feet, 6 inches (3,200 mm) when equipped with a 6.0 cubic yard general purpose bucket.

These five models range in horsepower from 76 to 98 hp (57 to 73 kW) with loader capacities from 6,182 to 7,327 pounds (2,804 to 3,323 kg). New engines and a new low-effort pilot control option have been added to all M Series 2 models. M Series 2 loader backhoes are now available with Case Pilot Controls. To accommodate operator preferences, controls are infinitely variable in the fore/aft and lateral positions. Wrist rests are also height adjustable. A thumb-proportional control for the Ex-tendahoe provides relaxed, precise and easy fingertip operation.
