NEW 802.11N ACCESS POINTS PROVIDE SECURE WIRELESS ACCESS FOR HEALTHCARE FACILITIES

Aruba Networks, Inc., a global leader in user-centric networks and secure mobility solutions, has announced a new generation of ultra high-performance 802.11n Access Points for providing ubiquitous, high-speed wireless access at healthcare facilities. Aruba's dual-radio AP-124 and AP-125 802.11n Access Point family features 3x3 Multiple-In Multiple-Out (MIMO) operation for long-range, high-speed network access to data, voice, and streaming video applications. The access points will operate in 3x3 MIMO mode using existing 802.3af power-over-Ethernet (PoE) infrastructure over a single Ethernet cable. A local 5VDC power source is provided for non-PoE applications. To protect access points installed in unsecured areas, security credentials are managed by a Trusted Protection Module (TPM) microcontroller. Defined by the Trusted Computing Group for the secure generation and storage of cryptographic keys, TPM protects security credentials against attack and physical theft.
