“MOLD SHIELD” RECEIVES EPA REGISTRATION
DuraBan International Inc, a chemical manufacturer specializing in earth-friendly antimicrobial, antibacterial and disinfectant technologies, announced the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) registration of its Mold Shield antimicrobial formula Mold Shield is an environmentally safe antimicrobial that inhibits the growth of odour and stain causing bacteria, fungi (mould and mildew) and algae. It can be applied directly to almost any surface including carpet, upholstery, non-porous bathroom and kitchen surfaces, Formica, Cori-an, Silestone, stainless steel, synthetic marble, fibreglass and others.
Mold Shield is a clear, water-based, odourless, non-toxic and non-flammable liquid. It delivers an invisible antimicrobial surface coat that lasts the useful life of the product to which it is applied.
DuraBan expects strong adoption by hospitals. “We are excited to provide an effective, green antimicrobial that consumers can apply to almost any surface, right from the bottle,” said Robert Dahl, CEO and co-founder of DuraBan. “This product delivers safe, permanent, antimicrobial protection unparalleled in the industry, with proven efficacy against dangerous super-bugs including MRSA (methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus or staph) and VRE (vancomy-cin-resistant enterococcus).”
