NEW SERVICE TO MIGRATE FILM AND PAPER RECORDS INTO DIGITAL DATA

eHealth Global Technologies announces a new service for migrating film or paper into a digital format. eHealthLoader is designed to assist facilities with the transfer of patient images and/or medical records from an analogue format or legacy IT solution into an electronic information management system, such as PACS, EMRs or other clinical information systems. Through the use of industry standards, such as DICOM and HL7, along with the latest digitizing technology, eHealthLoader provides a solution for facilities seeking to capture historical paper or film-based medical records electronically. The service also interfaces with a healthcare facility’s existing IT systems and uploads the data for immediate use by clinicians. Additionally, the service can provide a “digital bridge” to migrate data from one digital system to another. “All too often, healthcare facilities increase their operating costs by maintaining two systems – a legacy analog system and a digital IS solution,” said Michael Margiotta, chief executive officer, eHealth Global Technologies. “Patient information must be accessible and available to clinicians to ensure the highest quality of care at a reasonable cost. eHealthLoader is the answer for facilities seeking to turn patient information into clinical knowledge at the point of care and beyond.”
