DIGIMED-MD ELECTRONIC HEALTH RECORD LICENSED BY HEALTH CANADA
Digimed-MD, an electronic health record that interfaces with medical devices, has been approved by Health Canada. “We are extremely pleased with this news. It means that Health Canada recognizes the safety and efficiency of this medical software. It shall now be used for the diagnosis, treatment, mitigation or prevention of a disease, disorder or abnormal physical state, or its symptoms in human beings,” said Nicolas Kolodenchuck, vice president, business development and strategy, with Digimed Innovation.
Digimed-MD provides functionality beyond standard archiving tools. Digimed-MD provides electronic forms specific to diagnose some medical conditions and it can acquire data directly from many different medical devices. It aims to eliminate transcription errors, providing tools to proactively follow up patient medical conditions and to improve quality of care.
