FULL-TIME TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM
The operating weight of the Volvo SD105DX smooth drum compactor is 23,700 pounds (10 748 kg) and the SD105F padfoot configuration weighs 25,100 pounds (11383 kg). Centrifugal forces are 59,000 pounds (261 kN) and 78,000 pounds (347 kN), respectively. Drum width for both is 90 inches (2286 mm).
They are powered by a 125-hp (93.2-kW), four-cylinder diesel engine. The Ultra-Grade full-time traction control system helps ensure the compactor’s ability to climb and maneuver in the toughest soil conditions.
Utilizing the patented Volvo two-piece, clamp-on, padfoot shell kit, the SD105DX and the SD105F compactors are easy to convert from smooth to padfoot drums.
