Compact roller ideal for road shoulders

COMPACT ROLLER IDEAL FOR ROAD SHOULDERS

The compact design of the Dynapac CA 134 and CA 144 soil compactors allows compaction in tight spaces, such as road shoulders, trenches and construction sites close to existing structures. Ease of operation is a prime factor in the design, as little time is needed to become familiar with the controls, further boosting its appeal to renters. The CA134 has a drum width of 54 inches and the CA 144's drum width is 66 inches. Both drum diameters are 39 inches enabling its production versatility. An overall width of less than six feet and length of 13 feet ensure that it is easily transportable from site to site, another service feature on short-term projects. The operator's platform is isolated from vibration to create optimum working conditions. All the key data, including specified soil densities, fuel level and warning lights, can be seen at a glance on the highly visible instrument panel, which is fitted as standard. Higher amplitude, vibration frequency and centrifugal force (20,000 pounds) all contribute to consistent compaction performance. Normal operating amplitude for the each model is .067 inches with a vibration frequency of 2100 vpm.

Special job-site applications may be achieved through a choice of operating "option" configurations. Each model has a choice of drum drives, a bolt-on pad shell option for compaction of cohesive soils, and an optional leveling blade. Each model features a water-cooled five-cylinder 84-hp John Deere engine which achieves the combination of high torque and low emissions.
