KOMATSU CK30-1 AND CK35-1
Komatsu’s rubber-tracked compact track loaders have a wide supporting surface allowing the machines to effectively work on any type of soil, including mud and snow. The CK30-1 has an operating weight of 9,546 pounds and the CK35-1 has an operating weight of 10,053 pounds.
Both machines are powered by Komatsu engines delivering 84 net horsepower. The turbocharged and water cooled, direct fuel injection engines meet EPA emissions requirements and remain fuel efficient without sacrificing power or productivity.
The compact track loaders are becoming increasingly attractive to contractors and operators alike because they work in conditions where the conventional wheel type skid-steer loaders tend to struggle. With a low 4 to 5 psi ground pressure, these machines are ideal for any job but prove superior in soft conditions or where minimum soil compaction is desired. The CK30-1 loader utilizes a “radial” lift path technology while the larger CK35-1 is a vertical lift path loader. The radial lift path is ideally suited to ground engaging applications while the vertical lift path with its 129 inch hinge pin height (eight inches more than the CK30-1), is more suited to material handling and truck loading operations. Every Komatsu unit is equipped for maximum comfort and productivity with Pilot Proportional Control (PPC) joystick controls that are easy for any operator to use, and an automatic two-speed transmission which provides faster ground speed and loading cycles than machines with a typical single speed transmission. The operators also have the choice of two control patterns, ISO and optional hand controls. Both control patterns are fully hydraulic, adjustment and maintenance free. The CK30-1 features a rated operating capacity of 2,485 pounds, a tipping load of 7,100 pounds and a bucket breakout force of 5,038 pounds (based on a short lip bucket design). The CK35-1 features a rated operating capacity of 2,755 pounds, a tipping load of 7,870 pounds and a bucket breakout force of 6,100 pounds (based on a short lip bucket design).
