EXTENDED SERVICE COVERAGE ON 2007 CHEVROLET KODIAK
The Chevy Kodiak line of medium duty trucks has become popular with consumers for its versatility, durability and reliability. For 2007, Kodiak delivers extended service coverage on a range of Allison vocational transmissions and greater convenience for medium duty customers. “The Chevy Kodiak continues to deliver more of what customers demand from their medium duty trucks – durability, versatility and reliability. Enhancements for 2007 enable Kodiak to deliver even smoother-shifting transmissions – many with extended service coverage. The 2007 Kodiak lineup also delivers additional convenience to our customers,” said Mike Eaves, product manager for medium duty trucks.
The Allison provided service coverage on a number of Allison Fourth Generation Controls vocational transmissions has increased for 2007. Allison 1000 HS and 2200 HS (Highway Series) now feature a four-year, unlimited mileage warranty. The 1000 PTS and the 2200 PTS transmissions (used in school bus applications) now feature four-year, 100,000-mile coverage for the 1000 PTS and five-year, 100,000 mile coverage for the 2200 PTS (versus three-year, 100,000-mile warranty for 2006). The 2200 PTS transmission used in shuttle bus applications carries four-year coverage.
The Kodiak C4500 and C5500 Series are available in Crew Cab, Regular and Commercial Cutaway Chassis Cabs, as well as vocational packages to cover motor home, school bus, fire and rescue, ambulance, shuttle bus, wrecker and snowplow requirements.
For larger tasks, the Kodiak C6500, C7500 and C8500 Series (Class 6, 7, 8) trucks offer Regular and Commercial Cutaway Chassis Cab offerings, along with the Crew Cab and T-Series. This model range also includes LoPro (low profile) and Tandem axle variants.
