ANTI-ICING SYSTEM
ATCO Noise M a n a g e -ment’s gas turbine inlet anti-icing system is a unique solution designed to provide low-cost operation and high-quality protection for any gas turbine application. During cold and humid conditions, icing can occur anywhere within the inlet system. The anti-icing system recovers heat from the turbine exhaust gas with marginal pressure drop, and uses it to warm collected ambient air. This warm air is carried to the filter house inlet, where it flows evenly across its face. The entire inlet system is protected with virtually zero pressure drop and energy loss, and without the need for costly environmental clean-up. Compared to bleed air, electric heater and glycol methods, operational savings can be significant.
